NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
1.1 The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), including Appendix B – Windsurfing Competition Rules.
1.2 For each class, their international class rules will apply.
2 [DP] ADVERTISING
2.1 In accordance with World Sailing Regulation 20 (Advertising Code), boats may be required to display advertising and other promotional material supplied by the Organising Authority.
2.2 Entrants in this regatta allow that photographic images and video of them may be shown in public promoting the sponsors of this event in conjunction with the sport ofsailing.
3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The Regatta is open for all boards of classes listed above.
3.2 Competitors shall enter by completing the online registration for the event on manage2sail and paying the entry fee latest by Monday, September 7 at 23:59.
3.3 Late entries may be accepted on the discretion by the Race Officer at double entry fee.
3.4 A class will be opened for racing when three (3) boards of the class have completed the entry form and paid required entry fee.
4 ENTRY FEE
Entry fee for all boards is 70,00 €. Entry fee includes warm meal after racing both days. Meal is served at HSS Skifferholmen.
5 SCHEDULE
5.1 REGISTRATION
Competitors are registered when entered on manage2sail. Physical registaration at the race office is not required.
5.2 DATES AND TIME OF RACING
Saturday 12 th Sept. No Skippers briefing. First warning signal at 10:55.
Sunday 13 th Sept. First warning signal at 10:55.
Sunday 13 th Sept. No warning signals after 15:55.
Sunday 13 th Sept. No Prize giving ceremony, Prizes shall be picked up from the race office.
5.3 NUMBERS OF RACING
For all classes scheduled number of races is total 8, such that 4 races are planned for Saturday and 4 races for Sunday.
6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available on the manage2sail website on Friday, September 11 at 12:00.
7 VENUE
7.1 The Regatta Harbour is HSS Skifferholmen. Competitors are encouraged but not required to keep the boards at the regatta harbor. Boards can be transported to Skifferholmen by special working ferry for free. Agree time for transportation with the harbor master Markus Lumme in time / well in advance: +358 50 5760565 / hamnmastare@helsinkisailing.com. Competitors will get maximum three (3) ferry tickets from the regatta office.
7.2 The Race area is “course C”, the area directly south west of HSS Skifferholmen. The race courses will be limited to the north by Skifferholmen – Sirpalesaari shorelines, and to the south by the main ship lane. See Appendix 1, Helsinki Race Track C.
11 RACE COURSES
The race course will be upwind-downwind course.
13 SCORING
13.1 RRS Appendix A and changes Appendix B shall apply.
13.2 One (1) race are required to be completed to constitute a series.
13.3 Race discards for windsurf board classes as:
- 1-3 races no discards;
- 4-6 races 1 discard;
- 7-10 races 2 discards.
14 SUPPORT BOATS

19 PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded.
20 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule RRS 4, Decision to Race. The Organising Authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.
21 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance.
